Modern Slavery Statement

Financial year ending 31 March 2026 · Published: 17 October 2026

1. Introduction

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Hillcrest Neuro Clinic has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chain.

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person's liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

2. Our organisation

Hillcrest Neuro Clinic is a specialist private healthcare provider offering ADHD assessments and related clinical services. We are registered in England and Wales (Companies House number 14049710). Our workforce comprises clinical and administrative staff employed directly by the organisation.

3. Our supply chains

Our supply chains are limited in scope, primarily comprising clinical consumables, IT and software services, and professional services. We procure from established UK-based suppliers wherever possible and seek assurances from suppliers regarding their own compliance with the Modern Slavery Act.

4. Policies in relation to slavery and human trafficking

We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. Our policies that support this commitment include:

  • Recruitment and employment policy — ensuring all staff have the right to work in the UK and are paid at least the National Living Wage
  • Whistleblowing policy — enabling staff to raise concerns without fear of reprisal
  • Safeguarding policy — protecting vulnerable patients and staff
  • Supplier code of conduct — setting expectations for ethical business practice

5. Due diligence

We carry out due diligence on new suppliers and review existing supplier relationships periodically. All employees undergo right-to-work checks and enhanced DBS checks where required. We use NHS-standard recruitment processes and do not use labour-only subcontractors or agencies without appropriate vetting.

6. Training

All staff receive safeguarding training that includes awareness of modern slavery indicators. Clinical staff receive additional training in identifying signs of exploitation in patients. We are committed to increasing awareness of modern slavery across our organisation.

7. Key performance indicators

We measure the effectiveness of our steps to combat modern slavery through: completion rates of mandatory safeguarding training; number of supplier assessments completed; and review of any concerns raised through our whistleblowing process.

8. Approval

This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of Hillcrest Neuro Clinic and will be reviewed and updated annually.
